Jiang Fann looked puzzled. "Something big? Did the emperor of the Central Kingdom pass away?"    

Wan Chengfeng quickly shook his head. "It's not that serious, but it's pretty close. I had to pay a hefty price to the Heaven Pavilion for this information. Once we find Fang Xiang, he better reimburse me."    

After leaving the city, they were only half a day's journey from where Fang Xiang was located. On the way, Wan Chengfeng filled Jiang Fann in on the current situation in the Central Kingdom.    

It turned out that when Fang Xiang was taken back by that mysterious figure, it attracted countless former members of the Thunder Sect. Some pledged their loyalty on the spot, while others remained undecided, as it was a significant matter. However, a powerful figure emerged, suppressing everyone present and taking Fang Xiang away under the guise of being a former Thunder Sect member.    

Since that day, this influential person has been using Fang Xiang's name to demand resources from several major kingdoms. Anyone who opposed was quickly labeled a traitor and harshly dealt with, sometimes even severely injured. The discontent was palpable.    

The Central Kingdom's own leader, Ye Changtian, tried several times to bring Fang Xiang back, but was firmly refused, not even getting a glimpse of Fang Xiang. This angered the influential figure, who sent Ye Changtian back gravely injured. The figure then went to the capital, injuring several top fighters in succession, causing widespread panic. The entire kingdom was put on high alert, leading to the current tense situation.    

Upon hearing this, Jiang Fann said directly, "Isn't the general of the Zhongtian Dynasty already at the Celestial Realm? How could they allow another Celestial Realm practitioner to cause trouble here?"    

Wan Chengfeng replied, "Things aren't as simple as you think. Those who become significant figures usually come from that era. They might refrain from acting due to the status of the Gan Lei Sect's holy son, while others observe the situation from the shadows. If the Gan Lei Sect returns to the Upper Nine Heavens, it would have a massive impact, altering the dynamics there. Only then will these figures make their choices. For now, they won't suddenly step forward unless Fang Xiang shows up."    

Jiang Fann was even more puzzled by this. "Show up? Has Fang Xiang never appeared?"    

Wan Chengfeng nodded, "Since being taken by that master in the Zhongtian Dynasty, he hasn't shown himself once. No one knows his current situation."    

"I see!"    

Half a day later, the three of them arrived at the foot of a mountain. Looking up, they saw the peak towering into the clouds, its summit out of sight. According to the guidance from the Spirit Attached Jade, Fang Xiang was up there.    

After some thought, Jiang Fann turned to the other two and said, "You should stay here. I'll go up alone. I can handle any issues that arise."    

Xian Hu, aware of Jiang Fann's strength, didn't insist and simply said, "Take care of yourself."    

Wan Chengfeng also understood that they might face a Celestial Realm master. Although he wasn't weak, he knew he couldn't help in a real fight. Jiang Fann going alone wasn't a problem for his safety, especially with someone as formidable as Gu Xie by his side.    

Jiang Fann decided against flying. After all, this was someone else's territory, and being too conspicuous might get him noticed. His goal was to meet Fang Xiang, and sneaking in quietly seemed the safest approach.    

He moved swiftly from the base of the mountain toward the summit, using his Chapter of Formation Dao in conjunction with his Spiritual Sense. Activating his Golden Eye of Fire, Jiang Fann carefully monitored the changes in the surrounding atmosphere. His objective was straightforward: avoid any barriers or formations that might alert others to his presence.    

Surprisingly, Jiang Fann noticed there were no practitioners in the area. Typically, such places would have practitioners establishing their influence. Yet, despite the favorable environment, not even a demonic beast was in sight, which seemed unusual.    

Jiang Fann didn't dwell on it, maintaining his focus and gradually increasing his speed. Upon reaching the clouds, he encountered his first barrier. Unlike other restrictions that could be bypassed, this barrier was extensive. Jiang Fann had to assimilate the spiritual strength above it to pass through without causing any disturbance.    

The barrier's power wasn't particularly strong, and Jiang Fann managed to get through it with minimal effort. However, he was still some distance from the mountain's peak. With his cultivation improved, all his techniques had become more proficient. Jiang Fann could engage in prolonged battles with practitioners at the peak of the reincarnation realm, and his Qi Sea had reached an exceptionally rare level, allowing him to employ his skills freely.    

Jiang Fann was confident that once he completed the Divine Power and Body Training chapters, his combat abilities would further improve. He was especially eager to tackle the Heavenly King chapter.    

While Jiang Fann was daydreaming about a promising future, Xiao Yu suddenly spoke up, "Master, there's a powerful presence heading southeast. It seems to be a cultivator at the Celestial level, but they're suppressing their aura and haven't noticed us."    

Jiang Fann nodded and continued forward without hesitation. He then retrieved Fang Xiang's Spirit Attached Jade and infused it with his spiritual sense.    

"What's the situation now? I'm about 300 yards from your location at the mountain peak."    

Fang Xiang quickly responded, "Chen Xing just left. I've been under house arrest here for years. Find a way to get me and Black Wolf out without causing too much commotion. If Chen Xing senses any disturbance, he'll return immediately. Night Sky tried rescuing me once but got caught and seriously injured."    

Jiang Fann chuckled, "For someone who's supposed to be the Holy Son of the Thunder Sect, being held captive for years is pretty embarrassing."    

Fang Xiang was clearly frustrated, "If I could've escaped, I would have by now. My biggest regret is leaving with Night Sky in the first place..."    

As he approached the barrier at the mountain peak, Jiang Fann began to assimilate its spiritual energy, planning to slip inside undetected.    

From the tone of Fang Xiang's response, it seemed he wasn't too affected, and with the big black dog still guarding him, he was likely just under house arrest. Now, with Jiang Fann using his array-breaking strength, the effect was exponentially stronger than before his breakthrough. Even though the barrier was quite formidable, it only took him fifteen minutes to assimilate it. Jiang Fann suppressed his aura and entered, only to find that Fang Xiang hadn't come to meet him.    

Upon reaching the mountaintop, Jiang Fann noticed the environment was quite impressive, a true gem of a place. Fang Xiang was trapped in a simple courtyard, gazing in his direction. The fence around the yard shimmered with patterns, clearly set with restrictions, and Fang Xiang dared not step out.    

Jiang Fann activated his Divine Eye to examine other restrictions nearby and discovered several hidden forces in the void on the mountaintop, eerily resembling the entrance to a secret realm.    

As Jiang Fann approached the courtyard, Fang Xiang looked over with a face full of anxiety, but upon seeing Jiang Fann, he immediately brightened up.    

"You got in so quickly! The Mortal Separating Stage? You've broken through!"    

"I just got back with Brother Wan and sensed you were in trouble, but it seems you're doing quite well. Your cultivation has improved a lot over the years, and it looks like retreating here has been beneficial for you."    

The big black dog sauntered over, lazily stretching before baring its teeth at Jiang Fann. "Wanna trade places and give it a shot?"    

Jiang Fann shrugged. "After my breakthrough, I spent ten years in seclusion. I imagine the experience is quite similar."    

The big black dog looked Jiang Fann up and down, puzzled. "Why do you seem so different after your breakthrough? It's really strange."    

Jiang Fann replied, "Let's not get into that now. I noticed several entrances at the mountain top leading to other spaces. Are those entrances to secret realms?"    

At the mention of this, the big black dog seemed a bit agitated. "I can't believe you can see those entrances. They're not to secret realms, though. They're spaces that guy created, filled with treasures he's hoarded over the years. We were supposed to be partners, but he's gone mad and doesn't care about our original agreement. He's kept us locked up for so long."    

Hearing this, Jiang Fann was momentarily stunned, then filled with excitement. Most of his treasures were left at Myriad Clouds Mountain, so the chance to acquire more was certainly appealing.    

Jiang Fann started walking toward one of the entrances. The big black dog quickly warned, "Jiang Fann, don't get yourself into trouble. Even though you can break formations, if he returns, you might not make it out. The priority is to get me and my master out of here. Once we reach the Central Kingdom and find protection, he won't be able to control us anymore."    

However, Jiang Fann ignored his words and approached the entrance to the space, channeling his spiritual strength into it. Lin Zhan and Xiao Ai followed him inside to assist in breaking the barrier.    

After about ten minutes, the restriction at the entrance began to loosen, and a heap of resources tumbled out—a massive pile. Delighted, Jiang Fann collected everything into his Hundred Treasures Bag and then moved toward another entrance.    

The big black dog barked angrily, "Jiang Fann! Greed can be deadly! That person won't be gone for more than half an hour. Know when to stop..."    

Unfortunately, Jiang Fann still paid no attention and continued breaking the barriers, gathering the resources within.    

By the time he reached the fourth entrance, a voice echoed from afar, carrying a chill. "You little scoundrel! How dare you touch my treasures, Chen Xing's treasures? Today, I'll make sure you can't live or die peacefully!"    

A powerful aura breached the mountaintop barrier—it was the aura of a Celestial. Seeing this person return, the big black dog frantically dug at the ground, clearly furious and cursing Jiang Fann internally. If Jiang Fann had rescued them first, they could have escaped long ago.    

Chen Xing sensed that most of his treasure sites had been destroyed by Jiang Fann and was seething with rage. But just as he charged at Jiang Fann, a figure suddenly appeared behind Jiang Fann and rushed to meet Chen Xing head-on. The two collided instantly.    

In the eyes of the big black dog, Chen Xing, who seemed almost invincible, was suddenly sent flying like a cannonball. He crashed hard into his own barrier, looking ahead in disbelief at the figure before him.
