A prodigy who had overcome the tribulation within the Great Unity Immortal Sect snapped back to reality, terror etched in his eyes as he stared at Peter Parker.    

With a chilling smile, Peter Parker said, "If you all perish here in the ruins of Daoist Tian Yu, who will ever know that I was the one who ended your lives?"    

Without another word, Peter Parker took swift action, giving the group no time to respond.    

He reached out, and where the five had been standing, a surge of fearsome sword Qi burst forth from the void, coalescing into a sword domain that swiftly enveloped them.    

"Break free!"    

A white-haired elder at the Quasi-Great Perfection Stage saw the impending doom and his face contorted with urgency. He channeled all his True Yuan magical energy and unleashed it against the encroaching sword domain.    

The other four were just as quick to act, launching their attacks with full force and no reservations.    

"Rumble, rumble, rumble..."    

Their collective onslaught met the sword domain, but it didn't waver in the slightest!

As Peter Parker focused on the stone platform's formation, Qing Li's gaze shifted subtly. He found himself looking at the unscathed body of Gu Melville.    

"Qing Li, what are you planning to do?"    

Liu Qingyi's brow furrowed at the sight before her.    

With avarice in his eyes, Qing Li gazed at Gu Melville's lifeless body. "Gu Melville was the most brilliant prodigy of the Great Unity Immortal Sect. He's bound to have some valuable possessions on him..."    

Liu Qingyi's face tensed with concern. "I strongly suggest you abandon such thoughts!"    

The Great Unity Immortal Sect was a formidable force within the Immortal Breaking Universe, renowned for its inscrutable might.    

Gu Melville, a quasi-Great Celestial talent groomed by the Tai Yi Immortal Sect, was a prime candidate to become their next leader.    

Gu Melville's demise was sure to enrage the Great Unity Immortal Sect. Should Qing Li dare to plunder the body, the sect's relentless methods would undoubtedly lead them straight to him.    

Such a reckless act could spell doom for the entire Green Yuan Sect.    

"What's there to fear? The Green Sky Sect ranks among the top ten immortal sects in the Immortal Breaking Universe. Would the Taiyi Immortal Sect really risk a confrontation with us?" Qing Li retorted with a dismissive sneer.    

Despite the Taiyi Immortal Sect's formidable reputation, the Azure Essence Sect was no easy target.    

Moreover, the Green Yuan Sect had no connection to Gu Melville's true killer. They could simply pin the blame on Peter Parker when the time came.    

Ignoring Liu Qingyi's disapproving glare, Qing Li moved to search the corpse.    

Just as Liu Qingyi attempted to intervene, a surge of sword energy flashed before Qing Li, forcing him to retreat in alarm. He looked up at Peter Parker, his face a mix of shock and fury. "Peter Parker, what is the meaning of this?"    

Peter Parker met Qing Li's gaze with icy resolve. "Take one more step, and I'll treat you the same as him."    

Peter Parker had always avoided killing or desecrating the dead. His discerning nature meant he had little interest in common treasures, but more importantly, he sought to avoid any unnecessary complications.    

Considering Gu Melville's identity, Peter Parker was almost certain that the Tai Yi Immortal Sect would detect anyone attempting to tamper with his possessions. Despite his recent breakthrough to the Sovereign of Martial Arts, he had no desire to antagonize a powerhouse like the Tai Yi Immortal Sect at this juncture. If not for Liu Qingyi's sake, he would have dispatched the man before him with a single blow.

However, the once formidable formation had weakened over the ages. Peter Parker had meticulously pinpointed its vulnerability. Each step he took was strategically placed on the formation's nodes. Shortly after, he located the formation's core. With a decisive gesture, he struck.

The reverberation shook the entire hall as the formation and its constraints on the stone platform dissipated.

He was the Ancient Sword Sovereign, the current Sect Master of the Taiyi Immortal Sect, and one of the rare peak Great Celestial experts in the Immortal Breaking Universe.

After some time had passed, an old man dressed in green emerged from the hall and respectfully bowed behind the man.    

Despite his unremarkable appearance, the old man in green had eyes of extraordinary depth, and his presence was immensely powerful. He had attained the middle stage of the Mahayana Realm in his cultivation.    

"Elder Zhuang, Gu Melville's soul token has shattered unexpectedly. I need you to personally investigate the site," Gu Jian Jun instructed without turning around, his voice piercing the silence of the hall with its icy edge.    

At the mention of Gu Melville, Elder Zhuang's body jolted, and a look of disbelief flickered in his eyes. Gu Melville was a distinguished quasi Great Celestial elite within their Tai Yi Immortal Sect, boasting combat abilities on par with a seasoned Great Celestial cultivator. He was also known for his numerous life-saving techniques. How could someone of his caliber have perished so abruptly?
