Beastmaster of the Ages

Tianming looked at Jin Lin, who was tearing up at the sight of the old matriarch’s gradual recovery. The voice in his heart told Tianming that his parents had been out fighting battles since his childhood, so the matriarch was the one who had raised him.    

That was why the ingrate was willing to give Tianming his entire devotion and form omnisentient threads. More formed after Jin Lin’s, numbering less than a hundred, but they were all connected to overflowers! It wasn't a great boost to his combat capabilities, but it was a good start that gave him some true insight.    

So there’s a third way to completely convince the masses and get omnisentient threads!

The latter was much more effective than the former. But to think that saving the sick and wounded could also produce omnisentient threads; it was something he found absolutely baffling.    

Looks like xeno fatigue is far too torturous for the afflicted.    

The reason Zi Zhen was so dedicated in her loyalty to Tianming was the fact that he had saved her and given her a second chance at life.

However, light had finally come. The old matriarch's dim eyes began glowing once more. The glow's source was between her brows and grew brighter and brighter. Eventually, her vision also began recovering as her aged body felt more and more relaxed.    

"Sacred Healer! Sacred Healer!" She heard the agitated voices of the children. When she was on the brink of death, she noticed something. She was someone who had been ready to perish, only to suddenly get new hope to live. She reached out towards the saving light!

The last bit of xeno-fatigue energy shot into Tianming in the form of a gigantic gray dragon, having been drawn out from the old matriarch's body. He swallowed it whole, causing it to cease to exist after a fierce roar. At that instant, the xeno-fatigue energy in her had completely vanished.    

Tianming stretched, as if he seemed to be unused to it. He looked at the old matriarch and saw that she had opened her eyes and was looking at him, tears building up. Her body was no longer darkened and rustic. While she hadn’t regained her youth, at the very least, she seemed to have the luster of a normal, healthy old person! Her order was still there and she began absorbing xeno source, causing her to recover more and more.    

She sat up and tested her body, bones snapping in the process. Power returned to her after the xeno source within her was restored. It was like she had completely forgotten how much pain she had been in. Having been brought back to life, she felt like she was on cloud nine! To think that an old granny who was ten thousand years old could feel light and free again!    

"Sacred Healer, let this old one thank you! Wah!" She leaped into the air, spun, and stably fell to the ground, kowtowing in a most dramatic fashion. Her head met the ground with firm force. What was even more impressive was that her rapid kowtows didn't seem to hurt her forehead at all; instead, the whole cave seemed to be shaking for its life.    

"Zi Zhen, hold her up! If I let a senior keep doing that my lifespan will shorten!" Tianming hurriedly said. He didn't dare to do it himself, worried that the old woman would squash him like a tiny fly, given his size.    

"Old Matriarch, please get some rest," Zi Zhen said, grabbing her.    

"A girl? Is that really a girl?" The old woman's eyes shone brighter as she touched Zi Zhen's face. "How magnificent... how nubile! Are you engaged? Have you fallen for an aurumite gentleman? Let me, this old matriarch, help you! You can take as many of them as you want!"    

"Matriarch! She’s the sacred healer's wife and the goddess of the specters! She’s come to save us with her almighty power!" Jin Xiao hurriedly said.    

"The wife of the sacred healer?" The old matriarch looked around for Tianming in shock. "Where is he? Where’s the sacred healer?"    

"I’m here!" Tianming found it rather awkward that she couldn't see him even though he was standing right in front of her.    

"Why is the sacred healer so small? His level must not be high enough. That’ll affect their married life! Give the sacred healer the finest overflow fragments we have to offer!" she ordered.    

Di Tang and Jin Xiao were completely speechless.    

"You should explain things to her in detail. I'll start saving the others," Tianming said.    

"You can save the others, too?!" the old matriarch asked. "Take me inside! I have a few overflow fragments buried somewhere.... Wait, I don't need help to get around anymore!"    

She walked with steps that were lighter than a youth's. The old matriarch whom they had seen suffer for so long was once more with them as she had been long ago. It was a touching scene indeed. She was the matriarch that they remembered, but she’d suffered for so long that everyone had almost forgotten how she originally looked. There were none who didn't shed a tear at the sight of her revival. What shocked them even more was that Tianming had already picked another person to save.    

"Yin Chen, keep reporting the situation in Taboo Ocean for me."    

"Taboo Ocean... once more... became smaller! Suggestion is... you should... save a... few more... elites first... then save... the rest... later on!"    

"Alright!" There were a few third-level overflowers there who had gotten xeno fatigue and were rather capable fighters. Saving all hundred of the aurumites could take longer than they had to deal with the situation at Taboo Ocean.    

"My omnisentient threads number around two hundred after saving the old matriarch. There's even one from Jin Xiao! Helping the aurumites has made them my army!" Tianming knew that they were willing to give their lives for him.    

Soon, he healed six more third-level overflowers, who were as powerful as Jin Shang and would be of great help. He rose and said, "Everyone, time’s running out. I have to go save my sister, and I need your help!"    

"Sacred Healer, the aurumites are willing to die at your command!" Di Tang passionately roared.    

"We’re willing to die for the Sacred Healer!" the rest roared in unison. Though the aurumites were powerful, they were simple folk. They’d had a hard time acknowledging Tianming, but they were more than willing to serve him to their deaths after he had conquered them by helping them.    

"Alright!" Tianming took a deep breath and turned to Zi Zhen. "We have to split our forces and go different ways."    

"Alright!" Zi Zhen nodded without even thinking it through.
