The Venerable One chuckled, "I'm great at finding treasures, but when it comes to training disciples, that's where you excel. I have a disciple who's at the perfect age, very perceptive, and hardworking. Most importantly, he's incredibly handsome and has earned my admiration and teachings. If he could train at your Sanctum Academy for a good ten years, he'd be at the prime age to enhance his skills, and his future would be limitless."    

As if worried Hong Chao might refuse, he quickly added, "Consider him our mutual disciple. I'll provide him with treasures and resources, and you just need to guide him. It's a win-win."    

Hong Chao was a bit surprised by this.    

"You usually don't show this much interest in anyone. Could he be your secret son?"    

The Venerable One replied, slightly annoyed, "Of course not. I don't waste my energy on women. If I wanted, countless beautiful women would be at my beck and call. I have grand ambitions. Old Hong, you can't turn me down. I know your disciple, that girl, needs a soul crystal to enhance her spiritual sense. I happen to have a few from the Celestial King's tomb..."    

Before he could finish, Hong Chao interrupted, "Two soul crystals! It's a deal!"    

Upon hearing this, the Venerable frowned and said, "Two pieces? Do you think those are just ordinary crystals? I nearly lost my life in the King's tomb."    

"To become a disciple at our Sacred Hall Academy, we only accept one or two people every hundred years. Isn't the status of a Sacred Hall Academy disciple worth at least two soul crystals?"    

The Venerable was straightforward: "Alright, it's a deal."    

With that, he handed over two palm-sized silver crystals directly to Hong Chao.    

Hong Chao was a bit surprised and chuckled, "You trust me that much?"    

"If even the head of Sacred Hall Academy can't be trusted, then there's no one reliable in this world."    

Hong Chao accepted the soul crystals and then said, "Where is your disciple? Give him my token and have him report to the academy anytime. However, I must tell you upfront, if your disciple can't meet the academy's standards, I will have him leave at any time. Once he's in the academy, I treat everyone equally, with no special treatment."    

The Venerable was clearly confident in his disciple.    

"I understand that, but just give the token to my student directly. He's not far from here, in the Nine Wilds World. They're currently upgrading the world's level, and my disciple is using the world's essence to advance his realm. How about you accompany me there? I'll feel more assured handing him over to you personally."    

"Oh? The Nine Wastes? I'm headed there too."    

With that, the two of them flew directly toward the direction of the Nine Wastes World.

The ground had been shaking for several days, but it had finally settled. Almost every faction understood that once the world stabilized, the entire landscape of the Nine Wastes would change completely. No one knew what would happen next. They could only strive to improve their abilities quickly, so their factions could take the initiative in the upcoming upheavals and remain unaffected by others. This way, even if chaos ensued, they would have a better chance of protecting themselves.    

The power of the heavens was continually increasing, and strange phenomena were appearing everywhere. Purple energy flowed from the east, and many long-lost mystical mountains and rivers were reappearing, seemingly filled with countless opportunities.    

At this moment, Jiang Fann's presence seemed to have vanished, completely merging with the surrounding spiritual energy. The surging energy was constantly being released, and the balance of yin and yang was expanding. This, combined with the Chapter of Pill Dao, greedily absorbed the surrounding spiritual energy, forming a vortex of energy that poured into Jiang Fann's body.    

Yet, this power did not bring much change to Jiang Fann himself. It continuously tempered his body and Qi Sea. His physical strength was improving bit by bit, and the range and intensity of his Qi Sea were slowly changing. Each small improvement was incredibly challenging.    

But Jiang Fann knew he had reached the absolute limit of his breakthrough, needing only a single opportunity to advance.    

The Innate Dao Fruit continued to grow, allowing Jiang Fann to deepen his understanding of his cultivation techniques. Immersed in enlightenment, he felt as if he was undergoing countless trials, constantly honing himself, completely detached from the present world.    

Jiang Fann felt as though he was in a long, vivid dream, with past experiences unfolding before him, scene by scene. He realized there were many things he hadn't accomplished and countless tasks awaiting him, which left him feeling overwhelmed.    

At that moment, a pill appeared out of nowhere, transforming into a woman in red. She cut her wrist, letting a few drops of true blood fall into Jiang Fann's mouth before disappearing again. Gu Xie, standing in the distance, didn't react much, as she recognized the pill as the renowned Red Dust Pill, known for its miraculous properties.    

The pill's power was instantly absorbed by Jiang Fann, and the chaotic feeling in his heart was immediately suppressed. He felt a clarity of mind, stabilizing his spirit from the brink of confusion.    

Seeing this, Xiao Yu breathed a sigh of relief. Her strength had been supporting Jiang Fann all along, and she knew just how perilous his situation had been. However, she dared not release too much power to disturb his breakthrough, as pulling him out of enlightenment prematurely could mean losing all progress and hitting another bottleneck.    

However, the power of the elixir didn't affect Jiang Fann. Instead, it used its unique properties to help him maintain a clear mind. Jiang Fann continued his quiet meditation, slowly advancing his skills.    

At the edge of the wilderness, a massive gourd suddenly fell from its vine, crashing onto the mountain below. The impact shattered the peak, embedding the gourd within it. The ground shook, and the explosion's thunderous sound echoed for miles.    

The gourd emitted an aura that attracted a heavenly tribulation. Thunderous clouds gathered, interspersed with a unique red glow, creating a rare dual trial of lightning and fire. Lightning flashed, and fire blazed continuously.    

Strangely, the strikes of the tribulation didn't cause explosions. Instead, the gourd absorbed the power entirely, dissipating it upon contact. Even more astonishing, the gourd drew strength from the earth, revitalizing the surrounding vegetation, which flourished under its influence.    

The gourd brimmed with vitality, unfazed by the dual trials. Two figures appeared in the distance, the same individuals who had flown in from the starry sea.    

They were clearly drawn here by the aura of this gourd, which is why they showed up. Seeing the massive gourd and the power emanating from it, the chubby Venerable spoke up.    

"This Nine Desolations is truly unique. This gourd could be considered an innate sacred object, right? Its power rivals that of an immortal treasure. I'm tempted to take it..."    

Hong Chao replied, "Don't get greedy every time you see something valuable. While it is indeed an innate sacred object, it hasn't reached the level of an immortal treasure. However, it is the innate possession of the little guy inside the gourd. His bloodline is incredibly strong. Using the gourd to weather the tribulation, he emerged at the reincarnation stage. At his age, he'd stand out even in the higher realms."    

Hearing this, the Venerable quickly examined the gourd. "You mean there's life inside? I thought the tribulation was caused by the gourd itself."    

"Of course not. If I hadn't seen the kid, I might have taken the child inside the gourd back with me. But he deserves a chance to prove himself. Hopefully, in the next selection, he'll outshine all the other prodigies."    

With that, he took out a token and tossed it toward the gourd. In the next moment, the gourd, scarred by the double tribulation, was struck by the token, which embedded itself at the top.    

The token didn't affect the power of the gourd, and Hong Chao was satisfied as he flew away with the Venerable Person.    

Three days later, as the heavenly tribulation ended, the gourd gradually shrank and transformed into a figure. This figure had reached the Reincarnation Realm, with a tall, ethereal presence, as if untouched by the mundane world. Clad in a blue martial outfit, a large gourd was strapped to his back.    

He looked at his hands with excitement, and with a wave, the nearby vegetation grew wildly, seemingly under his control. If Jiang Fann were here, he would surely recognize this person as the once-missing genius, Xian Hu, from their training days. Even Jiang Fann would be astounded to see that Xian Hu, whose cultivation wasn't particularly high back then, had now reached the Reincarnation Realm. It's unimaginable what he experienced during his disappearance.    

Meanwhile, flying through the air, Hong Chao observed the various energies emanating from the ground below, genuinely impressed.

"I've come here for one person, my personally chosen disciple. Back then, it wasn't his time to join the academy, but this time is different. He's managed to break through to the Mortal Separating Stage, which means he's already pushed open the door to what seemed like an impossible path."    

"Mortal Separating Stage? Impossible path? I don't understand what you mean."
