Wan Xin remained silent, as she had no say in the matter.    

"Alright then, how about you both stay hidden here for a while? Let me scout the area first. Does that work?"    

Wan Chengfeng nodded. "That works, but be careful. They're in the shadows, and we're out in the open."    

"Don't worry!"    

With that, Jiang Fann suppressed his presence and left the protective barrier. But he hadn't gone far when he sensed a powerful energy behind him. Turning around, he saw a shield of spiritual strength descending from the sky, targeting the hidden barrier as if it knew exactly where Wan Chengfeng was.    

Everything happened too quickly. Although Wan Chengfeng immediately rushed out with Wan Xin, they couldn't escape the shield's range.    

Jiang Fann moved forward, gripping his Divine Blade, and struck the spiritual shield. He managed to create a crack, but it wasn't enough to break through and rescue them.    

Inside, Wan Chengfeng unleashed his spiritual strength, attempting to attack from within, but the energy began to dissipate rapidly, being absorbed at an alarming rate. Wan Xin experienced the same effect.    

"Not this again!"    

Jiang Fann was seething with anger. This was yet another time he had been suppressed since entering the inner valley, and now they were enveloped by that Spiritual Strength Shield, being lifted into the air.    

Just as Jiang Fann was about to summon his companion, a violent explosion erupted beneath him, swallowing him whole.    

Boom! Boom! Boom!    

A deafening series of explosions echoed, emanating from the powerful forces within the formation. His focus had been entirely on the two adversaries, leaving him unaware of the Spiritual Strength surging from below.    

Fortunately, the Longevity Armor had instinctively protected him, wrapping itself around Jiang Fann and releasing a potent wood-based Spiritual Strength that shielded him from most of the impact.    

Though the explosion left Jiang Fann momentarily dazed, he quickly channeled his own Spiritual Strength into the Longevity Armor, activating its strongest defense. By the time he broke free from the blast zone, the two adversaries had vanished.    

Jiang Fann swiftly took out his Spirit Attached Jade to locate them, discovering they were rapidly moving westward. Without hesitation, he soared through the air in pursuit.    

Being airborne, the formation's forces couldn't directly target him, and the explosions ceased. Despite maintaining his pace, Jiang Fann felt his blood churning, his face slightly pale from the close-range blast. Thankfully, the Longevity Armor's power was formidable, sparing him from a greater toll.    

Jiang Fann spoke up, "Lin Zhan, that energy shield just now was probably powered by the formation in this area, right?"    

"Most likely, but since the energy shield appeared twice, it was definitely pre-arranged. It could have been set up for the people of the valley or specifically for Wan Chengfeng. If it's the latter, then whoever's controlling that power has been watching us closely, tracking our every move. Otherwise, they wouldn't have been able to pinpoint our location so accurately and see through your concealment technique."    

"I had a feeling something was off before we even came in. Even with precautions, I still underestimated the situation."    

Jiang Fann chased for a few minutes, but the distance between them only grew. The speed at which they were taken was clearly beyond his own. He took a pill to heal his injuries and restore his energy, maintaining a sense of the two's location. However, before long, their presence vanished, and the Spirit Attached Jade couldn't pinpoint their position.    

Jiang Fann noted where their presence disappeared. At least finding that spot wouldn't be an issue, and once there, he should get a better understanding of the situation. Instead of flying high, he descended to a lower altitude, skimming close to the ground. Wan Chengfeng's side could encounter more problems at any moment, so he needed to find them quickly.    

The Martial God Order advised Jiang Fann, "It's best to completely suppress your presence or blend with the energy of the ground formation. Otherwise, you'll remain within their detection range. I think figuring out who they are isn't too difficult."    

"Are those the other souls of that big shot?"    

The Eternal Garment replied, "It seems so. Usually, a major figure needs to gather three souls to reincarnate. We've already destroyed one, so there are at least two more, and they’re likely here."    

Jiang Fann didn't waste any time. He immediately tried to suppress his presence, then descended to the ground to sense the power of the formation. He began to assimilate the energy above him.    

He noticed that after understanding the power of the formation, it was easier to blend with its energy than before. The formation beneath his feet was the same grand formation from the starry sky in the previous area. Jiang Fann was now familiar with many details of this formation.    

He realized that he was likely being watched by that guy, probably through this formation. So, only by assimilating the spiritual energy could he truly escape the opponent's lock.    

Even while assimilating the energy, Jiang Fann didn't slow down his pace. He continued moving, while also sending out a strand of consciousness to observe his surroundings.    

This area resembled a paradise, rich in spiritual energy, with many spiritual beasts living here. The plants were lush and vibrant, giving off a sense of vitality.    

Based on the two areas he had passed through before, it was just as he had guessed. This should be the Heavenly Realm of the three realms, especially noticeable after coming up from the Mortal Realm due to the stark contrast in spiritual energy.    

As he moved closer to his destination, the spiritual energy around him grew even denser. In the distance, he saw a mountain towering into the clouds, with only part of it visible below the cloud layer, covering a vast area.

"That should be the place!"    

The Warrior Spirit said, "That guy probably knows about Gu Xie's existence and still dares to make a move. He must have other tricks up his sleeve, ones that Gu Xie can't handle. You need to be careful on your way."    

Jiang Fann replied, "Xiao Mo should be able to handle the situation here unless a cultivator of the Celestial Realm shows up, which is unlikely. Otherwise, the Immortal Valley wouldn't have been rooted here for so long."    

Jiang Fann had great confidence in Xiao Mo's abilities. After all, Xiao Mo came from a higher world, and her bloodline power was significantly stronger than that of the cultivators from the Nine Heavens. At the same level, her combat strength was formidable.    

As he traveled, he continued to assimilate spiritual strength, not daring to delay for a moment.    

There were no traces of cultivators here, nor any remnants left by them. However, Jiang Fann encountered two demonic beasts along the way. Those beasts kept their distance upon seeing Jiang Fann, clearly wary of him.

The Warrior Spirit said, "Earlier, you used the Eternal Armor and the War God Blade. If you have a chance to take that guy down, don't hesitate. If he comes back to life someday, it won't be good for you. Even if word gets out beyond this restricted area, people might covet your treasures."    

Jiang Fann nodded. "Don't worry, I'm not the only one who wants to deal with him. If the situation here reaches the Valley of Immortals, do you think the big shots there will allow someone who's been targeting their people to continue existing?"    

"It won't matter if they disagree. Their abilities are limited here, maybe only thirty percent effective. Wan Chengfeng is proof of that!"    

Jiang Fann didn't quite see it that way. "Everyone's got a few friends. A top-level expert in the Reincarnation Realm surely knows a few peers. Clearing this place wouldn't be an issue."    

He wasn't joking. Despite the uniqueness of this place and the impressive array techniques, without the protection of a Reincarnation Realm master, it couldn't stop a peak-level expert from probing. If it weren't for the Valley of Immortals guarding the area and preventing outsiders from entering, this place might have long been removed from the list of restricted zones. At least, based on the methods shown so far, they only seem effective against the Valley's cultivators and pose little threat to Jiang Fann.    

The closer Jiang Fann got to the mountain, the denser the spiritual energy became, and his speed of assimilating it increased. However, the vastness of this area took him by surprise. Given the circumstances, the other two regions below should be just as expansive, considering the grand formation beneath his feet mirrored the starry sky.    

He sensed the Spirit Attached Jade of Wan Chengfeng, and since there was no fluctuation in its aura, it seemed there was no immediate danger to life. Although Jiang Fann was anxious, he couldn't recklessly bring out Xiao Mo, fearing the opponent might have a countermeasure ready. Since he was on a rescue mission, the element of surprise was crucial.    

As Jiang Fann reached the foot of the mountain, a deafening roar echoed from within, though he couldn't identify the type of demonic beast due to the distance. Unable to sense its aura, he couldn't determine its level of cultivation.    

After another half-hour, the assimilation of spiritual energy was complete. Jiang Fann immediately altered his aura and used the Chapter of Body Arts to dash into the mountain. As he entered, birds scattered from the forest, only to quickly disappear from sight.    

Having assimilated the aura of the grand formation, Jiang Fann was no longer worried about being detected through it. He was now close to where Wan Chengfeng and his companions' auras had vanished. Jiang Fann paused occasionally, allowing Lin Zhan to use the assimilated spiritual energy to probe the formation, hoping to ascertain the situation nearby. If they could sense Wan Chengfeng's aura, it would be even better.    

Unfortunately, there was no discovery, not even a hint of any special power. The forces that had previously moved through the formation were now completely absent, with no indication of where they might have gone.    

Roar—    

A massive beast's roar echoed again, much closer this time.    

After retrieving Lin Zhan, Jiang Fann decided to head toward the direction of the sound, hoping to uncover something.
