Even though he had put some distance between himself and the source, Wan Chengfeng kept his eyes on the spiritual energy emanating from the coffin, not daring to let his guard down. He knew how powerful that energy was and feared it might sneak over.    

As the stars emerged, Jiang Fann sat in place, continuing to observe the stars and sketch the formation, committing the remaining parts of the grand array to memory as quickly as possible. Once the formation was complete, he immediately infused it with spiritual strength into the Chapter of Formation Dao, speeding up his understanding and decryption.    

About an hour later, he suddenly opened his eyes, looking skyward with surprise, and couldn't help but stand up and leave his spot. Wan Chengfeng didn't follow Jiang Fann, as he was moving toward the coffin, clearly having discovered something.    

By evening, the daytime beam had vanished. Jiang Fann made his way to the coffin and looked up at the sky directly above. He communicated with Lin Zhan, saying, "Take a look. The position of the formation core I found earlier—doesn't it correspond to right above here?"    

Xiao Ai quickly responded, "That's right, sir. You're directly beneath the formation core."    

Jiang Fann glanced at the coffin beside him and understood why it was placed in this position. It was clearly arranged here intentionally by someone significant in the past. The beam of light that appeared during the day was evidently enhanced by the spiritual strength concentrated here, and the three spaces—upper, middle, and lower—were all part of this formation.    

Jiang Fann continued to study the workings of the grand formation. He just needed to find an opportunity to influence the formation's power to enter the next area. Although some spiritual strength was consumed during the day, it wasn't significant enough to require replenishment.    

Jiang Fann and Lin Zhan were engrossed in studying the formation, while in the distance, Wan Xin and another person were having a conversation.    

"Uncle, have you decided to go to the Nine Desolations for training with Jiang Fann?" Wan Xin asked.    

Wan Chengfeng shook his head, "I might go, but I definitely won't stay there. According to what Brother Jiang said, that place can't withstand the power of a reincarnation realm cultivator. I'd have to suppress my abilities there. I'm just going to broaden my horizons. Brother Jiang won't stay there either. Like me, he's destined to train in higher realms. Whether it's the Nine Desolations or the Upper Nine Heavens, neither is our ultimate goal."    

Wan Xin replied, "I want to go with you too. My level should still be able to improve there, right?"    

"Forget it. The Upper Nine Heavens is perfect for your training. There's no need to go to the first-level Nine Desolations. Besides, I can't be sure about the itinerary this time, and I don't know when we'll return. If my father finds out, he'll have my hide. Just stay in the Upper Nine Heavens and train diligently. Once you break through to the reincarnation realm, then consider it. If you can't reach a stronger world by then, I'll find a way to take you there."    

Wan Xin, though a bit reluctant, realized there was no other option and nodded in agreement.    

"Alright, it's a deal then. Once I reach the Reincarnation Realm, Uncle, you have to take me out to see the world."    

Wan Chengfeng nodded. "Don't worry, I always keep my promises. If I can significantly enhance my skills in a short time, I might even take you out sooner. But if I recklessly take you out for training and something happens to you, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself."    

Wan Xin shifted the conversation. "Uncle, do you think we should try to persuade Grandpa and the others to relocate? I have a feeling our clan has been targeted here. You saw it yourself on our way into the inner valley—our clan's bloodline is heavily suppressed here and even used as a resource..."    

Wan Chengfeng frowned, understanding her concern. "It might not be my place to say, but when you get back, show them the table and bones of that senior, Wan Tianlei, and explain everything. It's up to them to decide. Our clan has been here for countless years; they won't move easily. But staying does pose some challenges."    

As they were talking, Jiang Fann stood up from beside the coffin and walked over to them, surrounded by layers of peculiar light. This was the power of the formation he had simulated.    

As they approached, Jiang Fann spoke directly, "Follow me and rise into the air, staying within the spiritual energy I release."    

The two nodded, channeling their inner strength, and ascended alongside Jiang Fann.    

Wan Chengfeng glanced at the ground, noticing Jiang Fann was leading them directly above the coffin. He couldn't help but feel a bit apprehensive.    

He cautioned Jiang Fann, "Are we intentionally positioning ourselves above this coffin? If I remember correctly, the light during the day shone from this direction."    

Jiang Fann nodded, "That's because the core of the formation is directly above us. Share some of your energy with Wan Xin; we don't know how long we'll need to stay airborne."    

They continued to rise steadily, undeterred by what lay below.    

Meanwhile, on the ground, the coffin began to emit a faint glow, its aura spreading, though the three remained oblivious.    

After ascending several hundred feet, Wan Chengfeng finally sensed the presence of the formation barrier. Just as Jiang Fann had said, the vast array of stars was indeed a manifestation of the formation, not a physical reality.    

Jiang Fann wasted no time, channeling his spiritual strength into the formation above. He felt the immense power circulating within it, truly formidable.    

Fortunately, this grand formation didn't absorb his energy like the coffin on the ground might have. Otherwise, he would have had to find another way through.

Jiang Fann infused his spiritual sense into the formation, feeling the spiritual strength within. He could clearly perceive some forces similar to those he had encountered before, moving through the formation. There were significantly more than before, but they didn't gather to attack due to his presence, which was a notable difference.    

"Lin Zhan, join me in the formation and be careful. If anything seems off, return immediately to the spiritual strength, and I'll bring you back," Jiang Fann instructed.    

"Got it," Lin Zhan replied.    

Lin Zhan entered the formation, feeling a rush of excitement. He positioned himself at the formation's core, working with Jiang Fann to control the formation and temporarily influence its power.    

Xiao Ai chimed in, "Let me join too; it'll be safer."    

Jiang Fann immediately declined. "No, if something goes wrong, you'll be needed to help Lin Zhan. Once we're sure everything's stable, you can experience the formation's power. Besides, I've already outlined the formation patterns in the Chapter of Formation Dao, so you can study them anytime."    

Even with Lin Zhan in the formation, Jiang Fann remained vigilant, his spiritual sense spreading throughout, carefully monitoring every subtle change. He was attempting to connect the simulated formation aura from his body with the larger formation.    

Lin Zhan suddenly spoke up, "I'm ready."    

Jiang Fann didn't respond immediately. Instead, he made sure everything was in place before channeling his spiritual strength into the formation he had simulated. This was to mask his own spiritual aura, combining with Lin Zhan's power to unleash a massive surge of energy that directly impacted the formation.    

The patterns of the formation flickered with light as Lin Zhan guided Jiang Fann's energy, manipulating the power of the formation. However, he didn't stop the formation; he merely activated one part, creating a breach in the barrier.    

Within a few breaths, the barrier above Jiang Fann and his companions began to ripple with energy before tearing open. Without hesitation, the two people beside him, Wan Chengfeng and another, rushed through, with Jiang Fann following closely behind.    

But as he broke through the barrier, Jiang Fann sensed a force rapidly withdrawing from the formation's aura, causing his heart to skip a beat. He quickly grabbed the two in front of him.    

They had already stepped into another area, but right in front of Wan Chengfeng and his companion, a shield of spiritual energy was descending, targeting Wan Chengfeng.    

Feeling the pull of Jiang Fann's power from behind, Wan Chengfeng saw the scene around him shift rapidly. He was swiftly pulled back, out of the range of the descending energy shield.    

Wan Chengfeng felt a chill run down his spine. If Jiang Fann hadn't pulled him back, he might have crashed into the shield with Wan Xin, and the consequences would have been unimaginable.    

Before Wan Chengfeng could speak, Jiang Fann had already given them each a pill to restore their energy, and he took one himself, never stopping his pace. He led them behind a tree, where he released his energy, creating a temporary concealment barrier around the three of them, masking their presence.    

Jiang Fann channeled his energy into the ground, drawing Lin Zhan back to consciousness. He then gestured for the two to remain silent.    

Wan Chengfeng peered outside the barrier, noticing that the energy shield in the distance had vanished without him even sensing who had dismantled it. Jiang Fann observed the situation closely and, seeing no further activity around them, finally communicated with the other two.    

"Someone is controlling the formation. It's not a formation spirit or a master, but they understand the formation very well. They could have stopped us from entering, but they let us in on purpose, setting a trap to catch you."    

Wan Chengfeng frowned, "So we're being watched again? This is so frustrating! Ever since we entered the inner valley, my skills have been useless!"    

Jiang Fann replied, "The main issue is that we don't know the situation yet. No wonder the special forces within the formation ignored my presence when I broke through and also ignored Lin Zhan's presence. I thought it was different from what we encountered before, but now it seems it was intentional. Something is controlling these forces."    

"What do we do now? We can't just keep hiding here forever, can we?"    

Jiang Fann suggested, "How about you guys find a safe spot to lay low for a while? I'll scout around on my own. Even if something goes wrong, at least I won't be completely cornered."    

Wan Chengfeng chimed in, "That doesn't seem right. We can't just keep hiding. We need to figure out a way to fight back."
