As Wan Chengfeng approached, the spiritual strength of the formation suddenly became very active, releasing a force that pulled him in, as if trying to draw him into the formation. This kind of scenario typically only occurs in places of inheritance, but Jiang Fann hadn't sensed any such presence along the way, making the current situation puzzling.    

Wan Chengfeng didn't resist, allowing the force to pull him toward the formation, where he was enveloped by the spiritual strength. Wan Xin moved forward, but unlike Wan Chengfeng, her similar bloodline power wasn't affected by the formation's force.    

Jiang Fann hesitated, unsure whether to sever the connection between Wan Chengfeng and the formation's spiritual strength. Suddenly, Wan Chengfeng's expression changed, and he began to release his own spiritual strength to counteract the formation's energy.    

Suddenly, an eerie situation unfolded. Within the formation, a figure emerged—a humanoid form of spiritual energy. It approached the barrier and began absorbing Wan Chengfeng's spiritual strength. To be precise, it wasn't just absorbing; it was more like devouring, reminiscent of when Gu Xie devoured that demonic form.    

Seeing this, Jiang Fann didn't hesitate. He rushed forward, releasing his own spiritual energy, intending to pull Wan Chengfeng away from the formation. However, as soon as his energy touched the formation, it was repelled by the energy emanating from it. Relying solely on physical strength, he couldn't pull him down.    

At that moment, the voice of the Martial God Order echoed in his mind. "Divine Blood."    

Understanding immediately, Jiang Fann activated his divine blood power, enveloping himself in red spiritual energy. This time, as he approached, the energy from the formation was instantly neutralized. Jiang Fann formed a blade with his spiritual energy and sliced between the formation and Wan Chengfeng, effortlessly separating them. The energy released by the formation was suppressed by Jiang Fann in an instant.    

The figure within the formation seemed startled and quickly retreated to the center of the formation, disappearing from sight. Wan Chengfeng looked at the formation, his face filled with shock. Despite being a cultivator at the Reincarnation Realm, he had been unable to break free from the formation's constraints. He could clearly sense that the entity could easily devour his spiritual strength, a truly terrifying feeling.    

"What's going on?"    

Nearby, Wan Xin was experiencing the complete opposite. She stared at Jiang Fann in shock. The power he had just unleashed forced her to step back several paces, making her too intimidated to approach. The intense aura he emitted instantly dissipated her own spiritual strength, and this was without him even targeting her specifically. It was merely the release of his power, yet it left her unable to resist.    

Jiang Fann, however, paid no attention to Wan Xin's situation. He moved forward to sense the changes in Wan Chengfeng, checking to ensure he wasn't injured. Although Wan Chengfeng wasn't hurt, his Qi Sea was significantly depleted.    

"This is really strange. Why did it choose to absorb your spiritual strength? Among the three of us, your cultivation power is the highest," Wan Chengfeng remarked, clearly frustrated. He had thought he was about to receive a spiritual inheritance, only to find it was a trap.    

Jiang Fann approached the formation, attempting to assimilate its spiritual energy. He planned to enter the formation to investigate further, confident that the force within was no match for him.    

Meanwhile, Lin Zhan and Xiao Ai were conversing.    

"Did you feel that aura earlier?"    

"I did. When the formation's power spread, it seemed to integrate into the larger ground formation, and I vaguely noticed the pattern of a teleportation array," Xiao Ai responded.    

Lin Zhan nodded, "It seems I wasn't mistaken. That pattern is indeed peculiar, likely a special combination formation. It looks like we've underestimated the formations in this area."    

Jiang Fann spoke up, "Could it be that this entire area is one large formation? All these smaller formations might be part of it. You couldn't sense all the formations here before, which is why you didn't notice the larger one."    

"That's quite possible. Should I try to sense the formations below again?"    

This time, Jiang Fann immediately refused. "That thing we encountered clearly has some kind of awareness, maybe a spirit or something else. If it's controlling the formations, it could be dangerous for you. Since we're here, let's just be cautious and handle it carefully."    

After speaking with them, Jiang Fann turned to Wan Chengfeng. "Brother Wan, take this pill to restore your energy. I plan to enter the formation to investigate. Stay here and keep an eye on Wan Xin. You can move a bit further from the formation for safety."    

Wan Chengfeng nodded. "Be careful yourself. That force we felt earlier seemed to affect my combat abilities. It's not easy to deal with."    

With that, he led Wan Xin away, knowing where it was safe since Jiang Fann had marked the nearby formations earlier. Meanwhile, Jiang Fann stayed behind, continuing to assimilate the formation's power. He tried to use his spiritual sense to locate any presence, hoping to lock onto some kind of aura, but found nothing.    

On the other side, Wan Xin watched Jiang Fann from a distance, still unable to calm her nerves.    

Wan Chengfeng teased her, "Are you falling for him? That guy's impressive, but he's got quite a few ladies around him. You might want to reconsider."    

Wan Xin quickly shook her head. "No way, I just met him. I can't wrap my head around the power he just unleashed. It's not some technique; it's a bloodline strength. His level isn't even as high as mine, yet I can't muster the courage to face him in a fight."    

Hearing this, Wan Chengfeng chuckled, "That's definitely bloodline power. I was shocked the first time I felt it too. With that bloodline, he's nearly unbeatable at the same level. And that's not counting his other skills. When we were out training and sparring with others, his combat ability reached nearly the Reincarnation Stage. Before I advanced, I was no match for him."    

"Even now, beating him wouldn't be easy. His cultivation and combat prowess are on entirely different levels. Spend more time with him, and you'll see just how formidable he is."

Jiang Fann didn't rush to act. Instead, he infused the formation with his energy, recording the patterns in the Chapter of Pill Dao. This helped him better understand the power of these patterns.    

As the patterns were continuously inscribed above, the unique features of the formation unfolded in Jiang Fann's mind. He soon discovered that the formation indeed concealed a teleportation array right in its center.

"This sensation is very similar to the inside of my old master's coffin. It must have been set up by someone significant, likely aiming to use this place for resurrection or rebirth."    

Jiang Fann extended his spiritual sense around him. "Could the one who absorbed Wan Chengfeng's power be the person trying to be reborn?"    

Longevity Robe replied, "I can't say for sure. I just find this place familiar because my old master was also a significant figure in a forbidden zone."    

Jiang Fann had no choice but to activate his Divine Eye, trying to locate where that figure might be hiding. Unfortunately, after scanning the area, he couldn't pinpoint their location.    

"It seems like that guy isn't in this space," Lin Zhan remarked. "This place feels more like the core of your formation. Maybe I should step inside the formation to take a closer look. Since your spiritual strength has already integrated, if I'm careful, there shouldn't be any issues."
