Reborn Medicine King

C2551 The Heavenly Middle Dynasty

C2551 The Heavenly Middle Dynasty

2"Jin Xian, have you heard the news?"

His father, Jin Heng, looked serious and concerned.

Jin Xian nodded, appearing calm as if he had known all along.

"It's just that the timing is a bit earlier than expected. The fog has lifted, the Ancient God Clan is awakening, and a new golden era for our world is upon us."

He sighed.

"But for the various clans now, it will be a disaster. Everything will change, and a storm is coming."

"There's nothing we can do about it. At least we caught the tail end of the last era, which helped our clan improve overall. Our bloodline has returned to the level of the Ancient God Clan. What are your plans?"

Jin Xian was resolute.

"Isolation!"

Jin Heng had anticipated this decision, recognizing it as the best option given the circumstances.

"It's a shame we'll have to abandon the businesses we've maintained for so many years."

Jin Xian replied, "Without anyone in our clan reaching the pinnacle of power, we can't survive in this chaotic world. We've made many enemies over the years, and it's the same now. So, we'll wait in seclusion until our people are strong enough to protect themselves, then we'll reemerge."

He looked at Jin Heng. "Father, please inform the other leaders personally so they can prepare in advance. Let them reassure their branches and have our people return to Golden Jade City as soon as possible. I'll wait for them for twenty days."

On the other side, Jiang Fann followed Fang Xiang back to the city they had passed through earlier. From there, they used the teleportation array to travel to the capital, and then another teleportation array to reach the Supreme Capital of the Central Dynasty, their first destination.

Jiang Fann held the Sun Thunder Pearl in his hand. Once they arrived, he immediately sensed the direction marked by spiritual strength. After checking the map, he realized they needed to keep moving forward, as the hidden Dry Thunder Sect was not located between these two capitals.

However, Jiang Fann had already planned not to rush off with Fang Xiang. Instead, he intended to stir up some activity in the capital of the Central Dynasty. Fang Xiang had previously mentioned that fighting was prohibited within the Central Dynasty, regardless of a cultivator’s strength, as it was a strict rule of the dynasty.

As they entered the city, Jiang Fann was surprised to see many rogue cultivators openly walking the streets, without any attempt to conceal their presence. The locals seemed accustomed to it, showing no signs of concern. Although he had seen rogue cultivators in other capitals, the number here was noticeably higher.

"This really is a place where people aren't afraid of being hunted down," Jiang Fann remarked.

Fang Xiang replied, "It's not as simple as you think. These guys are rogue cultivators with clean records, without much blood on their hands. Otherwise, they’d be caught the moment they entered the city."

Feeling the surrounding spiritual strength, Jiang Fann was quite impressed. The energy here was indeed more intense than in the previous capitals he had visited. As for Fang Xiang, it was clear this wasn't his first visit to the city.

"Should we find an inn to stay at, or head over to the Sky Pavilion for a few days? Space in the city is at a premium, but that shouldn't be a problem for you," Jiang Fann said.

"I'll find an inn myself," Jiang Fann replied. "Meanwhile, you can use the Sky Pavilion to gather some information today."

Fang Xiang chuckled, "I was planning on doing just that. There's a lot of data here, and I'll see if there's any record of the Sun Thunder Pearl. If there is, it could really help us on this trip. You can explore the city on your own for the next few days. If you run into any issues, just reach out to me. As for the second prince, there's no need to worry about him as long as he hasn't left the capital."

"Alright, you go ahead and get busy. I'll wander around."

The two parted ways, with Jiang Fann heading straight to the area where cultivators set up stalls, while Fang Xiang hurried back to the Sky Pavilion. He needed to prepare for the upcoming actions, as he wasn't like Jiang Fann and didn't have his skills. Having a few more self-defense measures would ensure he wouldn't be a burden when it mattered.

Jiang Fann stopped by a cultivator's stall, noticing a variety of unique materials and some damaged spiritual treasures. They seemed to have been obtained from some secret realm or dangerous place. However, the materials were quite expensive, so Jiang Fann moved on to check out other stalls.

In a previous conversation with Fang Xiang, he learned that the upper realms rarely produced shape-shifting spiritual herbs. He had noticed early on that the number of wild spiritual herbs in the upper realms was far less than in the Nine Desolations, and even less than in the Great Thousand World. By the standards of a great world, Jiang Fann found it hard to understand, as this place was indeed much stronger than those two great worlds, especially in terms of the number of experts.

Most of the stalls were filled with materials, and only those with something truly special could set up shop in this city. Unfortunately, after wandering to the street corner, Jiang Fann hadn't found anything worthwhile. However, there was a bustling inn nearby, with the dining hall on the first floor packed to capacity and business booming.

Jiang Fann walked straight through the front door and approached the counter. "I need a room and a table with your best dishes," he said to the innkeeper.

"You're in luck, young man," the innkeeper replied. "We have just one room left. I'll have the bellboy show you to it right away."

Just as the innkeeper finished speaking, three figures entered through the door.

"Innkeeper, I need a room for three days," one of them said.

The innkeeper quickly responded, "I'm afraid you're a bit late, young man. This gentleman here has already claimed the last room. You might want to try another inn."

The young man didn't even glance at Jiang Fann and instead addressed the innkeeper, "I'll pay double. Just let him leave and give the room to me."

The bellboy stood by, waiting for the innkeeper's response, but Jiang Fann wasn't interested in the confrontation. He simply gestured for the bellboy to lead the way.

The bellboy didn't hesitate and led Jiang Fann upstairs, showing no regard for the newcomer's demand.

The innkeeper added, "First come, first served, and he's already been taken to his room. Please don't make it difficult for me. There are several inns nearby, and I can have the bellboy deliver any food or drinks you want to your place."

The young man was about to lose his temper when a fellow cultivator beside him stopped him, whispering a few words in his ear. It was clear he was reminding the young man of where they were—after all, this was the capital of the Central Dynasty, and causing trouble here was not an option, no matter how prestigious his status might be.

Only then did the young man glance over at Jiang Fann, but all he could see was a back, and the person's cultivation level wasn't impressive. This only added to his irritation.

"One of you stay here. I want to get to know that person. The other, come with me," he instructed.

The cultivator who had calmed the young man down directed another to follow the young master, while he himself went to the entrance, standing quietly without saying a word. Despite his calm demeanor, his aura was restrained, indicating a significant level of cultivation, also at the peak of the Mortal Separating Stage.

The shopkeeper, noticing the situation, didn't say much, as it was clear this wasn't the first time something like this had happened.

Jiang Fann followed the attendant to his room and asked directly, "Do you know that young man from earlier?"

The attendant shook his head. "No idea where he's from. He acts like he owns the place, but here in the capital, he might not even rank as high as our shopkeeper."

With that, the attendant left the room, claiming he was going to help the shopkeeper out of the situation.

About half an hour later, the attendant returned with fine wine and delicious dishes, clearly the restaurant's specialties. Jiang Fann had noticed the identical bottles in the dining hall earlier. He poured himself a glass of wine and sat down at the table, enjoying the meal with great satisfaction.

While eating, Jiang Fann didn't forget to take out the Yang Thunder Pearl, using the power of the Treasure Script to examine it closely, hoping to discover something new. Unfortunately, even after he was full, he hadn't found anything noteworthy. Even the Martial God Order didn't reveal anything special about it. As for its use, without any mouse demon nearby to release electric arcs, the Yang Thunder Pearl was practically useless to him.

As the waiter came to clear the table, Jiang Fann asked, "If I want to set up a stall in town, what procedures do I need to follow?"

The waiter replied, "No real procedures. If there's an open spot, you can just set up. As long as you don't block foot traffic, there are hardly any restrictions."

"Is it only allowed on that one street?"

The waiter nodded, "Yes, only that street. Don't try it elsewhere. Also, if it's your first time, make sure not to sell pills casually. The prices are controlled by the Pill Sect, so selling them cheaply in town is prohibited."

"I understand. You can go now."

"Alright, if you need anything, just call me."

As the waiter was about to leave, he paused at the door and looked back at Jiang Fann. "The guy who tried to take your room earlier left his men at the entrance. Seems like he wants to negotiate with you. Do you want to go down and see him, or let him wait?"

Jiang Fann calmly said, "No worries. If he's willing to wait, let him wait a bit longer."

The waiter chuckled, understanding Jiang Fann's meaning, and left without further comment.

Jiang Fann walked to the window, gazing at the bustling street outside. He felt a wave of emotions. There were so many beautiful clothing stores, and he wished Ling'er and the others were with him. He wouldn't mind spending a bit for them.

After observing the street market for a while, he knew exactly what he should sell here to make the day worthwhile.

His ultimate goal was to stir up some excitement in the city, hoping to draw the Second Prince here. He wanted to see what the prince was capable of and how long it would take for him to find Jiang Fann.

As Jiang Fann was observing, a figure on the street caught his attention. Even though it was just a silhouette, he was certain it was an old acquaintance he had recently trained with.

He immediately went downstairs and headed into the street, following the figure.
