C2875 CHAPTER2875

2As the conversation buzzed among the onlookers, the first light door outside Cloud Sky Mountain began to ripple. A man with sharp eyes, clad in unusual attire, emerged from the light and made his way toward the second door situated halfway up the slope.

"Zhou Qiang has passed the first test," someone remarked, prompting a collective sigh of relief from the crowd.

Despite Zhou Qiang's cultivation level being only that of a tier seven Heavenly Immortal—hardly formidable by their standards—his aptitude was far from negligible. In full force, he could stand toe-to-toe with a tier nine Heavenly Immortal. If Zhou Qiang had failed the initial test, it would have spelled doom for the hopes of many.

With all eyes on him, Zhou Qiang swiftly passed through the second light door.

After roughly an hour, he emerged from the second door and made his way toward the final door at the mountain's summit.

A short while later, Zhou Qiang passed through the third light door, his face ashen yet his spirit undiminished. His expression radiated excitement; he had conquered all three of Cloud Sky Sect's entrance exams, securing his place as an official disciple.

Perched atop the mountain, Zhou Qiang sat in meditation, surveying the hopefuls below with the poise of a conqueror.

The Cloud Sky Sect's entrance exam was perpetually open to aspirants who met the criteria. However, the sect only dispatched representatives at a set time each day to welcome new disciples.

Consequently, even after passing the test, Zhou Qiang couldn't immediately join the sect; he had to wait at the summit.

At the base of Cloud Sky Mountain, the sight of Zhou Qiang's success bolstered the confidence of many. They clenched their fists, eager to take on the entrance exam.

Yet, aspirations often clash with harsh realities. After ten consecutive attempts by various hopefuls, only a young man dressed in white, who had attained the First Stage Golden Immortal Realm, managed to navigate through all three light doors, claiming the spot that Zhou Qiang had hoped to fill.

Upon witnessing the scene, everyone's minds sharpened with clarity. It was evident that the gates of the Cloud Sky Sect were not open to just anyone who wished to enter.

"Brother Jiang Chen, I'm going to take the test too," someone declared amidst the hush that had settled around Cloudsky Mountain. He respectfully fist-bumped Peter Parker in greeting.

Peter Parker, whose prowess was on par with that of a Great Luo Immortal Venerable, was clearly not there to participate in the entrance exam or to seek discipleship within the Cloudsky Sect. While the reasons for his presence were unknown, it seemed impolite to pry.

Having arrived at the Cloud Sky Sect, the only path forward was to take the entrance exam and join the sect for cultivation. The stakes were personal. His clan had been decimated by the Wu Clan, leaving only him and his eldest brother, a cultivator within the Cloud Sky Sect, as survivors. Despite his brother's exceptional talent and his long-standing discipleship under a Cloud Sky Sect elder, he was still leagues away from the Great Luo Immortal Venerable realm. Together, they stood no chance against the formidable Great Luo Wu Clan.

Thus, the decision was made to enter the Cloud Sky Sect and grow stronger. Once he and his brother were capable of challenging a Great Luo Immortal Venerable, they would exact their vengeance on the Wu family.

Peter Parker nodded with a smile. "Go ahead. I'll see you in the Cloud Sky Sect later."

Taken aback, he hesitated only for a moment before striding towards the first beam of light that led up the mountain.

A keen-eyed young man, poised to take the exam, paused as he noticed Xiangfan stepping ahead of him. This youth, with a cultivation base at the Fourth Stage Golden Immortal realm, was the most formidable among the young aspirants present.

"Brother Wang Yi, who is that kid? He actually dared to start the assessment before you!" one of the keen-eyed youth's friends exclaimed in frustration.

The keen-eyed youth's gaze sharpened. "Don't underestimate him. He's a fourth-grade Golden Immortal, a young prodigy in his own right."

Fourth-Grade Golden Immortal!

The crowd was taken aback upon hearing the eagle-eyed young man's declaration. It was clear they hadn't anticipated that the newcomer to the examination would match the prowess of the eagle-eyed youth.

Indeed.

The trial lived up to expectations.

In under ten breaths, he had breezed through the first round.

Then, it took him roughly thirty breaths to conquer the second round, and fewer than fifty to triumph in the third.

For a prodigy from the Great Luo Clan, the Cloud Sky Sect's entrance exam was evidently a walk in the park. The entire ordeal was completed in less than a hundred breaths!

"Wow... A Fourth-Grade Golden Immortal genius is truly formidable!"

The onlookers at the base of Cloud Sky Mountain involuntarily gasped in awe.

They had not foreseen that the individual before them would clear the first three daunting tests of the Cloud Sky Sect in under a hundred breaths.

Indeed, comparisons can be maddening.

"This young man's talent may well rival my own."

Even Wang Yi, the eagle-eyed young man, couldn't conceal his astonishment.

Taking a deep breath, Wang Yi cast aside his hesitation and readied himself for the test.

But then...

At that moment, Wang Yi noticed another young man, clad in black, striding forward to stand shoulder to shoulder with him as they approached Cloud Sky Mountain.

"Friend, would you mind if I go first for the test?"

Wang Yi's brow furrowed as he voiced his irritation.

He had kept silent earlier upon realizing that Xiang Fan possessed the cultivation of a Fourth-Grade Golden Immortal. But now, to have someone challenge him for the examination spot was infuriating.

Peter Parker gave Wang Yi a nonchalant look. "Don't worry, I'm not here for the entrance exam."

Wang Yi's expression soured as he retorted sharply, "If you're not here for the exam, then why come to Cloud Sky Mountain? Leave now, or I won't be responsible for my actions!"

"You have no say in my affairs. Focus on your own exam and stay out of other people's business."

Peter Parker shook his head dismissively before turning his back on Wang Yi and making his way to the summit of Cloud Sky Mountain. Given his formidable abilities and esteemed status, he saw no point in squabbling with someone as insignificant as Wang Yi.

"You're asking for trouble, kid!" Wang Yi's eyes flashed with a mix of anger and humiliation as he unleashed the power of a Fourth Grade Golden Immortal. He looked up and launched a punch at Peter Parker's retreating back.

"Can you believe this guy? He's got the nerve to challenge Wang Yi. He's clearly clueless about the consequences!" The onlookers exchanged glances, shaking their heads in disbelief. Pity filled their eyes as they watched Peter Parker, seemingly unaware of the danger he had just provoked.
