Peter Parker saw no reason to decline. He simply nodded in agreement, "Alright!"

"Brother Jiang Chen, these metal ores seem to be in sync. If I'm not mistaken, there could be an immortal stone vein within this cave!" Xu Ji exclaimed, his voice tinged with surprise next to Peter.

"We've reached the terminus of the cave. Proceed with caution," Peter advised Xu Ji as they edged closer to the light.    

As soon as he stepped into the light, Peter Parker was met with a terrifying black flame, exuding an aura of death, hurtling toward him.    

Peter was ready. With a swift motion of his hand, he released a sword Qi.

The sharp sword Qi sliced through the black flames as effortlessly as a hot knife through butter, obliterating them in an instant.    

With the black flames vanquished in a single blow, Peter's vision cleared dramatically.    

Before him lay a cavernous space, stretching thousands of feet in every direction.    

Within the cave, a Primordial Underworld Immortal loomed, its form strikingly similar to the three mice outside, yet its power far surpassed theirs. It likely wielded the strength of a fifth-grade Heavenly Immortal.    

It was this very Primordial Underworld Immortal that had launched the earlier attack.

A look of elation crossed Peter's face as he took in the scene. They had indeed discovered a vein of immortal stones.    

"Brother Jiang Chen, this Ancient Underworld Immortal is too powerful. Shouldn't we seek out some assistance?" Xu Ji suggested, his voice tinged with fear as he felt the overwhelming aura of the Greater Rat, which left him feeling as though he was being suffocated.    

This Immemorial Underworld Immortal was significantly more formidable than the ones outside.    

Xu Ji had already struggled to defeat an Immemorial Underworld Immortal at the Third Stage Heavenly Immortal Realm. Facing this Primeval Underworld Immortal, with strength on par with a Fifth Stage Heavenly Immortal, was beyond his capability.    

"There's no need. I'll handle this," Peter said calmly, advancing toward the giant rat.

"This kid can only be an ally. We absolutely can't afford to have him as an adversary," Xu Ji murmured to himself. He knew he had to warn the eighth sub-palace not to antagonize Peter Parker; the consequences would be dire.    

"Xu Ji, don't just stand there gawking. Get to work and mine," Peter called out, already chipping away at the immortal stone mine before them.    

The mine wasn't vast, appearing as though the Greater Rat Ancient Underworld Immortal had ravaged it. Yet, fully excavated, it promised millions of immortal stones—a sum most Golden Immortal factions in the Immortal World couldn't muster.    

"Oh... Okay," Xu Ji snapped back to reality and joined Peter in the mining effort.    

In under half a day, they had unearthed tens of thousands of immortal stones, and they had barely scratched the surface, having mined less than a tenth of the vein.    

"We've struck it rich this time!" Xu Ji's eyes sparkled with excitement. As a prodigious disciple from the Nameless Immortal Palace's eighth branch, he had never held more than ten thousand immortal stones at any one time. This find was set to multiply his worth exponentially.    

Even some of the typical Great Luo Immortal Venerables might not boast the wealth he possessed.    

It's important to understand that, in the Immortal World, standard Great Luo Immortal Arts and Great Luo Immortal Weapons are valued at approximately 100,000 immortal stones.    

The immortal stone mine before him had the potential to yield at least a million immortal stones. If he were to split the bounty evenly with Peter Parker, each of them would still walk away with no fewer than 500,000 immortal stones.
