C1428 Decision

C1428 Decision

1"Yes, Senior, it is my misfortune. I have been presumptuous," Cang Shuiyue inwardly sighed, signaling Su Muixue to return to her place. Ultimately, she had failed. The disparity in their statuses was too vast. It wasn't Lin Xuan reaching out to her, nor was it an equilibrium; rather, it was she who sought to reach out to Lin Xuan. The decision rested solely with Lin Xuan.

Lin Xuan had vetoed her plans, shattering her expectations. Thankfully, the sect remained intact, albeit demoted to the status of Tianyuan Palace. On the surface, this seemed significant, but in reality, the sect retained its autonomy, now only required to heed Lin Xuan's commands, with the addition of a Supreme Emperor. Aside from that, little had changed. It was a compromise they could live with.

Lin Xuan then turned his attention to Wei Zhengzhen and the representatives of the other two sects. His icy stare sent shivers down their spines. With one ally gone, their situation had become even more complicated.

"Since you lack the authority to decide, leave. I will visit your sects personally to speak with those who can," Lin Xuan stated, his tone as calm as ever, yet it sent a chill through them. The prospect of this formidable figure visiting their sects was daunting—surely, submission would not be the only outcome.

But there was no turning back once the arrow had been loosed. They dared not refuse.

"Yes, Senior," they replied, heads bowed, their expressions etched with bitterness.

"All of you, come aboard my Flying Ship. The remaining martial artists from the other sects should leave behind one late-period Emperor Level warrior and a few at the early and middle stages of the Emperor Level to maintain order," Lin Xuan directed.

Wei Zhengzhen, Cang Shuiyue, and the others grasped Lin Xuan's intent. The combined might of the sects' elite forces numbered in the hundreds of thousands, enough to slow down even an Emperor Level Flying Ship. To avoid unnecessary delays and time wastage, they decided to leave behind the cumbersome elements. They were not abandoning them, merely assigning a few Emperor Level seniors to safeguard them and ensure their safe return. The majority of the upper echelons would accompany Lin Xuan to the headquarters of the major powers.

The Devil Cloud Sect was completely annihilated following Lin Xuan's arrival, leaving no survivors. Now, as Lin Xuan prepares to descend upon their sect, it seems an ominous fate awaits them. The individuals involved struggle to articulate their feelings, yet they find themselves unable to refuse his presence. Thankfully, Lin Xuan is not a Demonic Martial Artist. As long as they don't provoke him, they hope to avoid such a dire outcome.

After acknowledging the situation, they quickly turned and flew toward their respective sects' Emperor Level Flying Ships to issue commands. Each of them, being at the pinnacle of the Emperor Level, held sufficient authority and respect within their sects. They swiftly executed their tasks and reconvened on the High-grade Emperor Level Flying Ship where Lin Xuan was waiting.

"Let's go," Lin Xuan motioned with a wave of his hand. The Martial Puppet advanced, taking control of the Emperor Level Flying Ship. It transformed into a streak of light, departing from the Devil Cloud Sect.

Once the High-grade Emperor Level Flying Ship, carrying the majority of Dongyuan Continent's elite, had vanished into the distance, silence ensued. It was only after some time that the remaining Emperor Level Flying Ships began to stir. The Canglan Sect and Elemental Spirit Sect's ships were the first to depart, each heading toward their respective headquarters. Yet, the ships from the East Saint Sect, Thunder Yang Pavilion, and Purple Cauldron Sect remained, and more Emperor Level Flying Ships joined them.

The disciples from these three sects, numbering in the hundreds of thousands, bustled about. Eventually, they ceased their movements and ascended into the sky. Unlike the Elemental Spirit Sect, some headed back to their own sect headquarters, while others took a completely different course. The implication was clear: they feared provoking Lin Xuan and facing the potential destruction of their sects. By dividing their elite disciples and keeping them hidden, they aimed to safeguard their legacy. The rest were sent back to their sects as a diversion, to avoid raising suspicion. Should the situation remain calm, the hidden elite disciples could always return later.

Unbeknownst to Lin Xuan, all of these precautions were taken after his departure. And even if he were aware, it would not concern him.

A group of so-called elites may not even reach the peak of Emperor Level in the future.

They're hardly worth mentioning.

Moreover, he never entertained the idea of annihilating an entire sect.

Even when dealing with the Demon Force, he wouldn't indiscriminately massacre a sect.

The reason he had eradicated the Devil Cloud Sect without sparing anyone was that they were no longer a power within the Tianyuan Continent but rather a stooge and spy for the Demon Essence Race.

They couldn't be overlooked.

The situation was different.

Shortly thereafter, the Emperor Level High-grade Flying Ship transported everyone to the nearest major city, Devil Essence City.

The six major forces, as the dominant overlords of the Dongyuan Continent, controlled the most affluent and thriving regions of the entire land.

For the sake of security, they avoided frequent conflicts and wars, maintaining a considerable distance from one another.

This was unlike the previous journey from the Elemental Spirit Sect to the Devil Cloud Sect.

This time, Lin Xuan opted for a large-scale cross-domain teleportation array.

Previously, he had chosen the Emperor Level Flying Ship due to the sheer number of people involved.

Using the teleportation array would have required a significant consumption of spirit stones and Ethereal Crystals, entailing a substantial expenditure of time and effort.

It was simply too cumbersome and not cost-effective.

Additionally, the impressive size and power of the Emperor Level Flying Ship had the greatest impact and caused the most commotion.

This helped disseminate the news more widely and, in turn, gather more energy points.

It was merely taking advantage of the situation.

This time, though the martial artists' cultivation levels were high, placing them at the pinnacle of the continent, their numbers were few.

To save time and effort, the teleportation array was clearly the better choice.

Inside Devil Essence City, following the spread of news that Lin Xuan was leading the elite forces to besiege the Devil Cloud Sect, the sect's martial artists were called back.

The remaining martial artists and independent cultivators from the various forces, fearing collateral damage, had largely dispersed.

However, the teleportation hall within Devil Essence City remained intact.

Located in the region of the Devil Cloud Sect, this city was the closest to the sect's headquarters and also the largest and most flourishing city on the Dongyuan Continent. The teleportation hall housed Cross-Domain Transportation Arrays that connected to various major cities, offering the most comprehensive network.

"Let's head to the East Saint Sect first. Wei Zhengzhen, you lead the way," Lin Xuan decisively instructed.

The East Saint Sect was second only to the Devil Cloud Sect in prominence. Before the Devil Cloud Sect had unveiled its true power, the East Saint Sect was widely recognized as the leading force on the continent. Now, with the Devil Cloud Sect fallen, the East Saint Sect could have reclaimed its former top position if not for Lin Xuan's presence.

But that was mere wishful thinking. The tallest tree catches the most wind. Since the East Saint Sect stood out so prominently, it would be the first to be dealt with. After that, the remaining two would be even easier to handle.

"Yes, Senior," Wei Zhengzhen responded with a bow, not allowing himself a moment's hesitation.

He prioritized his own survival over loyalty. Casting aside the burden of allegiance, he had no intention of meeting his end over such matters. He stepped forward and expertly selected a teleportation array that led to the East Saint Sect.

The East Saint Sect and the Devil Cloud Sect, although both situated at the heart of the Dongyuan Continent, were in the most expansive and bustling First-class State, Dongyuan State.
