C1417 Refining the Spirit Blood

C1417 Refining the Spirit Blood

2High above, Wei Zhengzhen and his fellow Emperor Level Martial Cultivators gazed in astonishment at the transformations unfolding below. They could instinctively perceive that the grayish-white mist was the result of the dense spiritual energy of heaven and earth concentrated to an extreme degree.

"Does Senior Lin actually understand the Way of the Spell Formation?"

"Can a Half-level Emperor truly be this formidable? Not only does he possess immeasurable martial prowess, but he's also versed in the Way of the Spell Formation, with impressive expertise?"

"What is Senior Lin planning to do? Refine this entire pool of Demon Aura blood?"

"Perhaps Senior Lin himself can make use of this Demon Aura blood. After all, its essence is an extremely pure spiritual liquid. It would indeed be wasteful to destroy such a vast lake."

"That makes sense. Senior Lin likely hails from the legendary Central Essence Continent. What we cannot utilize, he may very well be able to."

Their faces remained stoic, yet they were quietly exchanging thoughts through their divine sense, speculating on Lin Xuan's intentions. While their conjectures weren't spot-on, they weren't far off either.

Lin Xuan was indeed intent on transforming this lake of Demon Aura blood into a consumable product. However, it wasn't for his own use, but for Tian to consume. As the spiritual blood crafted using the techniques left by the Demon Essence Race, Lin Xuan lacked the means to purge the inherent toxins for his own benefit. Even if he could remove them, he wouldn't feel secure—there could be unforeseen consequences hidden within.

Ordinarily, no matter the method employed, these dangers were undetectable. Yet when confronted by the Demon Essence Race, one would be utterly disabled, devoid of any capacity to counter. Such a risk was not to be taken lightly.

Lin Xuan was not about to gamble with his life. Tian, on the other hand, was a different story. As a mystical beast with the True Dragon Bloodline, Tian's constitution and innate qualities were vastly superior to Lin Xuan's. Indeed, not even a true Emperor Level Expert could match Tian in many respects.

Since the Middle Ages, the Tianyuan Continent had not seen any rise to the Emperor Level. Consequently, whatever perils might lurk within the Demon Aura blood, they were unlikely to pose any significant threat to Tian.

Tian had requested this himself, so Lin Xuan had no reason to intervene.

Below, as Lin Xuan manipulated the Spell Formation, unleashing its formidable power, the Demon Aura Blood Spirit Pool became the center of convergence. The mist, formed by the spiritual qi in the air, intensified and thickened. The once placid pool began to tremble.

Vortexes emerged one after another, rapidly expanding and engulfing the dense spiritual energy and mist that filled the surrounding space. The blood-red spiritual blood within the pool deepened in color.

High above, the Emperor Level Martial Cultivators observed the scene, their earlier speculations now reinforced. Yet, they harbored no concerns that Lin Xuan would replicate the Devil Cloud Sect's actions—igniting a continental war and massacring countless beings. His consistent behavior made his intentions clear.

The grudge against the Devil Cloud Sect was significant, and it was evident he had no desire to mirror their infamy. Instead, he sought to repurpose what was left behind. The pool of Demon Aura blood was the result of the Devil Cloud Sect's exhaustive efforts to scour the continent. Even with the full might of their sect, they doubted they could create such a quantity of pure spiritual liquid. Its potential value was immense—if it could be harnessed.

Even those at the pinnacle of the Emperor Level could potentially see a significant improvement in their cultivation. Ascending to the legendary status of a Half-level Emperor, akin to the esteemed Senior Lin, was not entirely out of the question.

They now wondered if the Devil Cloud Sect's grand campaign, which had wrought war and devastation, was driven by the ambition to elevate someone to Half-level Emperor status. Alas, their efforts were for naught, as their entire stockpile was seized before it could be utilized. It would be a shame to destroy such a resource as had been done previously.

Whether Lin Xuan could further harness this vast quantity of spiritual blood was uncertain, but ultimately, it was inconsequential. His current power alone was sufficient to quell any challenge. For the Emperor Level Martial Cultivators, the prospect of Lin Xuan growing even stronger was irrelevant; his dominance was already assured.

To them, the other was as insignificant as an ant, hardly worth mentioning.

The rumble echoed.

Shortly thereafter.

A sound as thunderous as a tempestuous sea roared in.

Below.

The spirit blood in the pond, stretching for dozens of miles, was churning and rolling.

It seemed to be boiling over with activity.

Yet, what was odd.

Despite the tremendous disturbance, not a single drop of water from the pond, which filled the entire lake, spilled out; it all remained within the Blood Spirit Pool.

It was as though an invisible barrier encased it.

The concentration of the surrounding spiritual Qi of Heaven and Earth didn't diminish after being consumed by the Blood Spirit Pool; rather, it grew even denser.

A grayish-white mist of spiritual energy shrouded the entire Demon Aura Blood Spirit Pool.

To the naked eye, the blood's color was obscured, revealing only shades of gray and white.

The tumult within the Demon Aura Blood Spirit Pool intensified, as if a colossal creature was thrashing within.

"The spiritual Qi is incredibly pure!"

"This Qi is nearly liquid, purely transformed from spiritual Qi. Direct absorption hardly requires any refinement, and it encompasses such an expansive area. The Devil Cloud Sect's foundations are indeed profound!"

"Indeed, even within our own sect, achieving this level would be a challenge; the collective effort of the entire sect might barely reach half this effect!"

"This environment surpasses our own training grounds, doesn't it?"

"The Devil Cloud Sect had grand ambitions. Thankfully, Senior Lin acted in time to thwart them!"

"Still, to reach such heights in so brief a time must be the handiwork of Senior Lin. His mastery in the art of Spell Formation might well rival that of many Emperor Level Formation Masters, right?"

"..."

Wei Zhengzhen and his companions gazed down at the tumultuous spiritual energy and mist, a flicker of covetousness in their eyes.

Such pure and concentrated spiritual Qi was beyond comparison with even Top Grade spirit stones.

Opportunities to indulge in it were scarce for them.

Yet today, they were confronted with an abundance of it.

They couldn't help but feel a surge of greed.

But the thought was fleeting and quickly cast aside.

They even concealed their own auras.

After all, this rich and pure spiritual Qi of heaven and earth hadn't appeared out of nowhere.

Lin Xuan forcefully extracted the essence from the spirit stone mine deep beneath the Devil Cloud Sect, using his spell formation to condense it.

These essences were all for Lin Xuan's use in crafting Demon Aura Blood.

Should they absorb and refine even a fraction, it could inadvertently result in the failure of the blood's creation.

Unleashing Lin Xuan's wrath upon them was a consequence none could withstand.

Their own sect might well tread the same doomed path as the Devil Cloud Sect.

For the sake of their lives and their sect, they dared not partake in the absorption.

It was merely a small amount of pure spiritual liquid, after all.

No matter the opportunity or treasure, one must first have the life to enjoy it.
